This Tues we had UFC fighter Jesse Bongfeldt at the gym. Jesses a really down to earth guy and everyone had a great time. Hopefully he'll visit the gym again soon.

Unfortunalty George's fight was cancelled.... his opponent hurt his knee in training and wasn't able to compete. I think he was just afraid of George.
I'll be in Bosnia from March 12 to April 1st, the club will be open for all the scheduled classes. Armando Ryan and Mike will fill in for me.

Strike Force
For those of you who missed the Strike Force show last night unfortunatly Fedor lost. Oh well, it's just a matter of time before the next generation of fighters comes along. You can only stay on top for so long.
Sergey Kharitonov put on a great showing knocking out Arlovski in the first round. Sergey is not very well known in North America but i'm sure that's going to change.Fedor and Sergey used to train together at Russian top team before Fedor left to train with Red devil. He has excellent striking and throws but, his ground game is a little weak. Allthough he went the distance with Nogeira(in Pride) in his prime and didn't get submitted.

Latest yellow belt
Congratulations to Brandon Hrycyshyn for passing his exam for his yellow belt in the shoot wrestling Canada program.Brandon preformed well as is well on his way to the next level.

Schedule change
The mma class taught by Mike O'neill has been moved from Fri night to Wed starting at 7pm.
Hopefully with this change we will see an increase number of fighters training.

Caveman bully
Just got back from another training session with Mike "the caveman bully" O'Neill. Mike is looking great and is in fantastic shape, i know he'll do us proud on Jan 7th.
