Fall Schedule

Hey Guys, fall time has arrived. Time to start training again. There are some new changes this fall.
We will be having twelve weeks courses for students,
the first running from Sept 19th to Dec 19th. The cost will be $159 plus tax. You can take as many classes as you want.Please register on or before Sept 19th.
The schedule has changed as well.

Mon: bjj 7-830
Tues: no gi grappling 7-830
Wed: mma 7-830
Thurs: no gi 7-8
bjj 8-9
If there is enough interest i will start a sambo class Sat morning in the winter.

Open mat cancelled/Pics

Hey guys, the open mat practice this Wed is off. There still working on the floors. As promised here's a few pics from Mike's win in Winnipeg and also a pic from his blue belt exam. Congrats on both accounts.

Hey Guys, there will be no open mat practice on Wed July the 27th dfc are putting another coat on the hardwood that week again.

Summer schedule

Hey Guys,

Summer is here so that means we'll be shutting down again for a couple of months.(back in Sept) But dont despair we will be having an open mat all summer long starting Wed July 6th from 7-830
The cost for the entire summer is just $55plus tax.

The last grappling class is Tues June 27th and the last mma class is Wed June 28th.

Catch wrestling

After watching strike force last night i thought i'd bring you guys up to speed on catch wrestling. Catch is the original submission grappling style. Victory can be attained by submission or pin. Almost every Japanese fighter can attribute his success to catch. In the early eighties Karl Gotch and Billy Robinson travelled to Japan and taught their style of catch wrestling to what would later turn out to be the founders of Pancrase, Submission arts Japan and Shooto.
Famous fighters include, Sakuraba, Josh Barnett and Neil Melanson(Randy Coutures head grappling coach) not to mention a thousand other Japanese fighter.

Blue Belts

Congratulations to the newest shoot wrestling blue belts Armando and Mike Dohan. Both are long overdue. Only two more steps to go. I'll post pics soon.

Sat Sambo

Due to lack of interest the Sat Sambo class will be cancelled until the fall.
