Kurash is a stand up art where you win by throwing your opponent.You can grab the jacket anywhere and the belt but are not allowed to grab the legs(greco with a jacket on).Contests are now held internationally, originally contestants wore a long coat and sash, they now wear a jacket similar to the judo gi. Kurash is one of the arts that contributed to the development of sambo and you can see the influence in the way sambists attack with the belt grips.
